MICROMINE to sponsor PASS SQLSaturdays event in Perth

MICROMINE is a proud supporter of the Perth SQL Server User Group and will be sponsoring the PASS SQLSaturdays event on the 25th of August 2018 at the State Library of Western Australia. This special, one day event will include SQL Server experts talking all things SQL Server and associated solutions like Azure and Power BI.

The Perth SQL Server User Group (PSSUG) is a chapter of the global SQL PASS and meet once a month on Thursday to enjoy technical presentations about SQL Server, Data and Analytics.

PASS SQLSaturdays are free 1-day training events for SQL Server professionals that focus on local speakers, providing a variety of high-quality technical sessions for professionals and those wanting to learn about SQL Server, Business Intelligence and Analytics.

SQL refers to Structured Query Language and is a domain specific language used in programming and designed for managing data held in a database management system, or for stream processing in a relational data stream management system.

As the market leading geological data management solution for the mining and resources industry, Geobank has formed a close association with the SQL Server User Group. Geobank is an intuitive front end to a SQL Server database for Geoscientists. SQL Server forms part of the database server minimum requirements for Geobank and Geobank Mobile

MICROMINE staff have found great value in attending the group’s monthly meetings, as it provides the opportunity to meet SQL Server users from inside and outside the mining industry and hear about how they are applying SQL Server and associated tools to their daily work. The meetings allow Geobank developers to keep abreast of the rapid developments to the SQL Server and understand how these changes can be applied to Geobank.
